Hello! My name is Lisa Lyons and I am the proud Director of Lincoln Preparatory School. I graduated from Ohio Dominican University. I have been educating students for the past 21 years. I started teaching 4th graders in a small school in southwest Kansas. I taught in Kansas for 12 years and in Cleveland for 6 years. This is my 3rd year as director.
One of my biggest beliefs in educating children is involving everyone. It truly takes a “village to raise a child.” We are all in this together! I am always available to talk about your child’s progress. I value the parents’ voice. Parents are the child’s first teacher. I also believe in teaching our children how to serve others. It is important for our children to have an understanding of the needs of others. Each classroom will be responsible for two service learning projects this year. Students will also be encouraged to learn leadership skills at Lincoln Preparatory School. The middle school students will be given responsibilities of helping the younger students. Students will have the opportunity to have their opinions and ideas heard at school. Each child has the right to succeed. I will make sure that your child’s teacher is equipped with the skills and resources to help your child grow to become a successful young adult.
I am truly blessed to be a part of the Lincoln Preparatory Team!
